Collaborators from the 2025 Queer Joy Community quilt invite our trans and queer communities to join us for a series of quilting workshops. Starting on Trans Remembrance Day, the Quilting Trans Joy workshop series will be a space for queer individuals to connect, express, and share trans joy through creativity and learning new skills.
Each workshop will focus on a different technique used in the 2025 Queer Joy Community Quilt, facilitated by some of the contributing artists.
Participants will take home their unique handcrafted quilt square inspired by queer and trans joy.
This is a free workshop co-facilitated by Queer Joy Quilt Aotearoa and Auckland Libraries.
