Join Restore Hibiscus & Bays for a hands-on morning of planting native trees, shrubs and grasses at Amorino Park in Red Beach.
We’ll be adding hundreds more native plants to a site first planted in 2022. Thanks to the efforts of local volunteers, this once-boggy patch of park is transforming into vibrant native bush, with beautiful views over the Orewa River.
Every plant in the ground helps restore the reserve, improve habitat for native wildlife and support the health of the wider Orewa Estuary catchment.
Bring your whānau, friends and neighbours along. Volunteers of all ages are welcome and no experience is needed. Tools and guidance will be provided.
What to bring:
- gardening gloves
- water bottle
- snacks
- sturdy shoes or boots
- clothing suitable for the weather
- a clean spade if you have one.
Come along and help us make Amorino Park even greener. Everyone is welcome!
