Playground review: Mary Wilson Reserve

We're taking a look at some of Auckland's best playgrounds. This week: Mary Wilson Reserve, Rocky Bay, Waiheke Island.

What’s on offer?

This small playground is located in a large, flat reserve on Waiheke and is designed to look like a cartoon cubby house to inspire imaginative play for kids.

The cubby house features a couple of viewing platforms, which lead up to a metal slide, and is surrounded by a large sand play surface.

There are also two swing sets, a see-saw, a barbecue, picnic tables and plenty of seating nearby in the reserve.

More to do

Mary Wilson Reserve is only a short distance away from Rocky Bay and the Green Flag-awarded Whakanewha Regional Park.
