Auckland Museum and MOTAT Trust board members announced

Regional Facilities Auckland (RFA) announces the following board appointments for 2018.

Two members of the Auckland Museum Trust Board, Jo Brosnahan and Dr Sarah Sandley, have been reappointed for a further two-year term.

For the MOTAT Board, members Lindsay Corban and Michael (Mike) Spraggon have been reappointed for a further two years, with new member Amit Prasad appointed for a two-year term.

RFA would like to thank Brian Corban CNZM, QSO for his commitment and contribution to the Museum Trust Board after six years, and outgoing MOTAT board member John McElhinney for his five years of commitment and contribution to the MOTAT board.

RFA Board Chairperson Sir Don McKinnon said all current and outgoing board members had contributed to Auckland in significant ways.

“We are grateful to all board members for their contributions to these important cultural institutions and to have their expertise benefiting Aucklanders,” he said.

RFA is responsible for making recommendations to Auckland Council on the Auckland Council appointments to the boards.

Five members of the Auckland Museum Board are appointed by Auckland Council, four members are appointed by the Auckland Museum Institute and one member is appointed by the Taumata-a-iwi.

On the MOTAT Board, six members are appointed by Auckland Council and four members are appointed by the MOTAT Society.
