The 2019 Conservation Week Pestival held on 14 September at Auckland’s Aotea Centre saw the debut of The Great NZ Conservation Debate.
The debate had DOC’s Threatened Species Ambassador Nic Toki and media personality Graeme Hill win the ‘Insects are better than birds’ moot where they versed off against the affirmative team made up of Cr Penny Hulse and TOP leader Geoff Simmons
The event, emceed by radio host and conservation advocate Jesse Mulligan, was full of interesting and informative talks from across the conservation landscape.
